Marriage & Family Therapist (MFT) Appleton, WI

Welcome to my website! My name is Richard H. Alberts and I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) located in Appleton, WI.

I have a Masters Degree from Dallas Theological Seminary and a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from The University of Wisconsin-Stout.

I am also Clinical Fellow with The American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT).

I have been practicing individual, marital, and other relationship counseling for 40 years. I have professional training and life experiences that will help me connect with you and your experiences. I believe I have the expertise to help guide you out of your dilemma.

Many of us experience personal or relationship problems, which may seem unsolvable. My goal is to help you find solutions in a non-judgmental approach that emphasizes growth, not blame.

I am very supportive of people of faith. I believe that many of our problems remain insoluble when approached from a humanistic worldview. I also believe that personal problems and relationship problems are most often intertwined. The result is painful marriages or other close relationships.

While securing therapy from a trained and experienced professional is important, it does not work well apart from a genuine connection with the therapist and my clients will attest to my warm, non-judgmental, and compassionate approach.

Let’s explore the possibilities of working together.
